Episode Transcript
Proverbs chapter 10 verse 30 tonight. Proverbs chapter 10 verse 30.
00:00.000 --> 00:07.000
Everybody's going through something. It's always that way.
00:07.000 --> 00:17.000
Constant reminder this world's not our home.
00:17.000 --> 00:21.000
These tabernacles that we live in, they break. We're going to put them off and we're going to go see Jesus.
00:21.000 --> 00:27.000
The title of the message tonight is "I Shall Not Be Moved."
00:29.000 --> 00:33.000
A very good title for a lot of the terrible circumstances that people are requesting prayer for tonight.
00:33.000 --> 00:43.000
And tonight's verse, Solomon gives us another comparison between the righteous and the wicked.
00:43.000 --> 00:50.000
And I want you to think with me for a moment about a trend that we've been seeing here in our study of Proverbs.
00:51.000 --> 00:59.000
We've been seeing over and over again the way of the Lord. The way of the Lord.
00:59.000 --> 01:03.000
Talking about the road of the Lord.
01:03.000 --> 01:06.000
If you'll look with me in last week's verse, verse 29, Proverbs 10, 29 says,
01:06.000 --> 01:14.000
"The way of the Lord is strength to the upright, but destruction shall be to the workers of iniquity."
01:14.000 --> 01:21.000
And we've seen that over and over again. The way of the Lord is this or is that.
01:21.000 --> 01:26.000
And now we come to verse 30 tonight and there's no mention of the way.
01:26.000 --> 01:33.000
Rather there's a distinction given once again between the righteous and the wicked.
01:33.000 --> 01:42.000
And how many times have we seen that in our study? Over and over again.
01:42.000 --> 01:46.000
You see the way of the Lord over and over again.
01:46.000 --> 01:49.000
You would think, "Well, okay, well maybe they should, you know, Solomon should have had the way, all of the way of the Lord's put in one place.
01:49.000 --> 02:00.000
And all of the comparisons put in one place. He kind of divided up like that, but he didn't.
02:00.000 --> 02:07.000
They're sporadic and they're spread across the collection as a whole.
02:08.000 --> 02:17.000
And by doing that we're constantly reminded there's a road that God has established for the righteous.
02:17.000 --> 02:26.000
There's roads that the unrighteous have established for themselves.
02:26.000 --> 02:31.000
And then when we're looking here at the distinction between the righteous and the wicked,
02:33.000 --> 02:40.000
we're constantly reminded that those roads separate so far that they distinguish one from the other.
02:40.000 --> 02:51.000
So when you think of the way of the Lord, think of the path that the righteous travel.
02:51.000 --> 02:59.000
Believers always travel the narrow road that God has laid out for us in his word.
03:00.000 --> 03:07.000
Unbelievers, they take the broad road of their own godless thinking like all the other unbelievers.
03:07.000 --> 03:15.000
And so when you read about the way of the Lord, think of the path that the righteous travel.
03:15.000 --> 03:21.000
And then when you read about the comparisons between the righteous and the wicked, as we see here in verse 30 tonight,
03:21.000 --> 03:28.000
think of the two different distinctions, how they fork away from each other.
03:28.000 --> 03:34.000
They may seem so similar and one not seem so different than the other.
03:34.000 --> 03:39.000
They all will all lead to the same place, but the further you go, the further they separate.
03:39.000 --> 03:44.000
And I want you to think of the two different distinctions, the destinations where those paths lead to.
03:44.000 --> 03:54.000
Having each chosen a different road to travel, they're going to arrive at two different destinations.
03:56.000 --> 04:03.000
And that's the beauty of these proverbs, because a righteous person, they think far into the future. I do.
04:03.000 --> 04:13.000
I have always, since I was a kid, I've tried to think often to the future on some of my decisions.
04:13.000 --> 04:24.000
Jacob did before he was a believer. He's thinking of the birthright, you know, and he saw he's thinking of the here and now.
04:24.000 --> 04:31.000
Well, eventually that got applied to his spiritual sense, too, for Jacob.
04:31.000 --> 04:37.000
But the righteous, they're always thinking not just of the road they're on, they're thinking of the destination that road leads to.
04:37.000 --> 04:46.000
The unrighteous, all they're looking at is the smoothest road they can find, the best scenery it offers.
04:46.000 --> 04:53.000
Just like a lot, he was a righteous man, but he made an unrighteous choice when he chose Sodom.
04:53.000 --> 05:00.000
But the righteous is thinking, considering eternal consequences to the path that he takes or she takes.
05:00.000 --> 05:11.000
Well, an unrighteous person doesn't consider the end of the road.
05:11.000 --> 05:15.000
And every living person today is traveling on a road, and every road is coming to an end.
05:16.000 --> 05:26.000
You may have riches on your road, you may have comfort on your road in health and popularity.
05:26.000 --> 05:34.000
I like looking at historical photos.
05:34.000 --> 05:38.000
I was looking at a historical photo recently of Clark Gable. He was almost as handsome as Brother Shepherd.
05:40.000 --> 05:48.000
Clark Gable and Will Rogers, they were playing golf together.
05:48.000 --> 05:55.000
Here they were, these young, handsome men walking on the golf course, carrying their bag, got their clubs in their hand.
05:55.000 --> 06:03.000
This was in the 50s. That was their day, man. That was their day.
06:04.000 --> 06:11.000
They had the money, they had the fame, they had the good life. Everybody knew them, they were something in the community.
06:11.000 --> 06:19.000
But that road ended, and it's going to end for me and you.
06:19.000 --> 06:25.000
So I love these comparisons because they describe the end of the road.
06:28.000 --> 06:32.000
And Proverbs 10.30 first describes the end of the road, look back in your text, for the righteous.
06:32.000 --> 06:39.000
Proverbs 10.30, the righteous.
06:39.000 --> 06:42.000
Who are the righteous? Because the first thing the devil wants to do is say, well, that's the people who do good.
06:42.000 --> 06:52.000
You don't live very good, so you're not righteous, this doesn't apply to you.
06:53.000 --> 06:58.000
Let me tell you who the righteous are. The righteous are those poor sinners who have been made right through the blood of Christ.
06:58.000 --> 07:07.000
That's who the righteous are. I'm so glad that I'm a righteous person.
07:07.000 --> 07:12.000
Brother Richard, you're presumptuous saying you're righteous. No, I'm not presumptuous.
07:12.000 --> 07:17.000
I'd be an unbeliever if I didn't say I was righteous. I'm agreeing with God.
07:17.000 --> 07:22.000
Faith has been counted to him for righteousness.
07:22.000 --> 07:25.000
Ask the scripture, I'm righteous. Now I'm not self-righteous because in my flesh, as the apostle Paul said, dwells no good thing.
07:25.000 --> 07:34.000
I don't have the righteousness of God's law because I am guilty of violating God's law.
07:34.000 --> 07:43.000
But I do have the righteousness which is of God by faith unto all of them that believe in the Lord Jesus Christ.
07:44.000 --> 07:53.000
I'm not righteous based on the 10 commandments that were given on Mount Sinai.
07:53.000 --> 08:01.000
But I am righteous based on the 10 commandments that were in the tabernacle, that were covered by the mercy seat,
08:01.000 --> 08:11.000
that was covered by the blood that was shed for the guilty sinners.
08:11.000 --> 08:15.000
Those 10 commandments, those tables of stone, I am righteous by.
08:15.000 --> 08:24.000
I think it's amazing that Moses broke the first tables.
08:24.000 --> 08:29.000
All those first tables, they didn't make it. It had to be second tables.
08:29.000 --> 08:35.000
The tables on Mount Sinai? No, I'm not righteous by those.
08:35.000 --> 08:41.000
But once they got in that Holy of Holies and once they got put under that mercy seat and once that blood got placed there,
08:41.000 --> 08:49.000
those are the ones that I'm righteous by because when they're looking up, they got to see through that blood to see me.
08:49.000 --> 08:56.000
And when God looks at them, he's got to look at the blood to see the commandments.
08:58.000 --> 09:03.000
And I'm covered by them because I believe in Christ.
09:03.000 --> 09:07.000
That's the righteous that God's speaking about here tonight.
09:07.000 --> 09:11.000
Those whose sins are covered by the blood of Jesus, our great high priest who died for us.
09:11.000 --> 09:17.000
And these righteous people, the Bible says, if you'll look back in your text, shall never be moved.
09:17.000 --> 09:24.000
We have grieving people here tonight. We have grieving people who are watching online tonight.
09:25.000 --> 09:30.000
We have some heavy prayer requests tonight and people going through difficult things.
09:30.000 --> 09:38.000
And this is a scripture you should take tonight and chew on and meditate on and swallow it down.
09:38.000 --> 09:45.000
The righteous shall never be moved. The Hebrew word translated, sorry, removed.
09:45.000 --> 09:51.000
The Hebrew word translated removed here has the idea of something being removed from its God-ordained position.
09:51.000 --> 10:02.000
And the righteous shall never be removed from it.
10:02.000 --> 10:09.000
If I don't dwell forever in the kingdom of God, then I am removed from my eternal citizenship.
10:09.000 --> 10:18.000
The righteous shall never be removed.
10:20.000 --> 10:22.000
This verse is a panacea to everybody that will take it down and swallow it.
10:22.000 --> 10:32.000
You know what a panacea is? You know what a panacea is? A cure-all. It's a cure-all.
10:32.000 --> 10:39.000
I don't care what struggle you have. If you'll take this verse down, it will heal your broken heart.
10:39.000 --> 10:49.000
It may not fix the problem for now. The gospel fix all problems in the end.
10:49.000 --> 10:55.000
But it will heal your broken heart.
10:55.000 --> 10:59.000
The righteous shall never be removed. Never be put out of their God-ordained position.
10:59.000 --> 11:08.000
Again, if I don't dwell forever in the kingdom of God, then I have been removed from my citizenship in God's kingdom.
11:08.000 --> 11:15.000
That will never happen. If the love of God fills me, then I am removed from my eternal sonship in Jesus Christ.
11:15.000 --> 11:22.000
That's never going to happen. If I perish in my sin, then I am removed from my eternal salvation in Jesus Christ.
11:22.000 --> 11:29.000
That's never going to happen. If I am ultimately defeated by sin, Satan, and death, then I am removed from my eternal victory in Jesus.
11:29.000 --> 11:37.000
That's never going to happen. The righteous shall never be removed.
11:37.000 --> 11:42.000
The list goes on and on and on.
11:42.000 --> 11:46.000
The righteous shall never be removed from anything afforded to them to God's redeemed in the gospel covenant.
11:46.000 --> 11:57.000
Not going to happen. This proverb is so vast, so powerful, and so encouraging.
11:57.000 --> 12:07.000
Once again, it's a cure-all for all worries to the child of God.
12:07.000 --> 12:13.000
Now, if you want a blessing tonight, and I know you do, or you wouldn't have come here.
12:13.000 --> 12:17.000
If you want a blessing tonight, I want you to listen to the following Bible verses,
12:17.000 --> 12:22.000
where this Hebrew word, the same Hebrew word translated "removed," is used and translated in different ways
12:22.000 --> 12:32.000
to catch the concept of its meaning. Again, follow me here on this camera.
12:32.000 --> 12:42.000
Follow me here on this camera. Look over here now.
12:42.000 --> 12:47.000
There was a designer for this piano, and the designer put a hinge that goes all the way across right here.
12:47.000 --> 12:58.000
Uh-oh. Here we go. My goodness, I have to get on this side.
12:58.000 --> 13:06.000
Mama, I'm sorry. Don't sweat it. I will not break it, I promise.
13:06.000 --> 13:10.000
Is it locked? How do you unlock it? Well, honey, get up here.
13:10.000 --> 13:17.000
Huh?
13:17.000 --> 13:21.000
The designer did put a lock on this piano. How about that? I never knew.
13:21.000 --> 13:29.000
All right, maybe it's down here again. All right, go back to my original place.
13:29.000 --> 13:34.000
I've never seen that. Look at that. It's a good thing I didn't apply all my strength.
13:34.000 --> 13:40.000
I would have lifted this thing off the ground. It would have been bad.
13:40.000 --> 13:44.000
But look at that hinge. The designer ordained that that hinge would go right here.
13:44.000 --> 13:52.000
Now, if it went somewhere else, this wouldn't work.
13:52.000 --> 13:55.000
If it stuck on the side right here, it would have no purpose.
13:55.000 --> 14:00.000
But this is where the designer placed that hinge.
14:00.000 --> 14:05.000
God -- make sure I lock that up when we get through now --
14:05.000 --> 14:10.000
God has placed us in the covenant of His grace.
14:10.000 --> 14:16.000
He's placed us in His God-ordained eternal plan, just like that hinge.
14:16.000 --> 14:23.000
We're in the exact right place where God put us,
14:23.000 --> 14:28.000
just like your joints in your elbow, in your knees, and your shoulders,
14:28.000 --> 14:35.000
how your arms all connect in that socket. That's your God-ordained place.
14:35.000 --> 14:40.000
When something's removed out of that place, it's not good.
14:40.000 --> 14:45.000
It causes pain. It causes dysfunction. It causes disruption.
14:45.000 --> 14:51.000
It causes failure.
14:51.000 --> 14:54.000
The redeemed of God by God's Spirit, by His preordained plan for the elect --
14:54.000 --> 15:03.000
don't interpret elect as Calvinism, but as the biblical elect --
15:03.000 --> 15:07.000
God's preordained plan for His elect, the righteous will never be removed from it.
15:07.000 --> 15:15.000
Nothing can take them out of place.
15:15.000 --> 15:17.000
And I'm glad that was locked, because it's locked by God's eternal providence.
15:17.000 --> 15:23.000
As I couldn't get that thing open, the devil can't get you out of God's position.
15:23.000 --> 15:29.000
He has for you. Sin can't do it. You can't do it.
15:29.000 --> 15:35.000
Jesus said, "No man can pluck them from my Father's hand."
15:35.000 --> 15:42.000
But here's a blessing for you tonight.
15:42.000 --> 15:44.000
Listen to the following Bible verses where this Hebrew word is translated in these different ways,
15:44.000 --> 15:48.000
and you'll get a good taste of what this word means and how to apply it in your life.
15:48.000 --> 15:54.000
You'll see what the righteous are promised in Jesus.
15:54.000 --> 15:59.000
Psalm 55.22, and what I'm going to do when I get to this word, this Hebrew word that's translated,
15:59.000 --> 16:08.000
"removed" in Proverbs 10.30 tonight, I'm going to emphasize it so you'll know which word it is.
16:08.000 --> 16:14.000
Psalm 55.22, "Cast thy burden upon the Lord, and he shall sustain thee;
16:14.000 --> 16:25.000
he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved."
16:25.000 --> 16:29.000
How about that? They're not going to be moved.
16:29.000 --> 16:33.000
That hinge isn't going to be moved. This man's not going to be moved.
16:33.000 --> 16:38.000
Move from what? Move from God's eternal plan for your life in Christ Jesus.
16:38.000 --> 16:50.000
And you know what that is? To conform you to the image of his Son.
16:50.000 --> 16:58.000
And that means to take away every imperfection you have.
16:58.000 --> 17:02.000
That means to take away every problem you have.
17:02.000 --> 17:06.000
Take away every burden you have and make you whole forever in Jesus Christ.
17:06.000 --> 17:16.000
"So cast your burden upon the Lord, and he shall sustain you;
17:16.000 --> 17:20.000
he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved."
17:20.000 --> 17:23.000
There is nothing in this world that can move the righteous from the place that God has ordained them to be.
17:23.000 --> 17:30.000
I like the old song that says, "My anchor holds, though the ship is tattered."
17:30.000 --> 17:36.000
I tell you what, my ship has gone through some stormy weather.
17:36.000 --> 17:40.000
I tell you what, but my anchor holds in Jesus Christ.
17:40.000 --> 17:46.000
Nothing in this world can blow the righteous from the gracious providence of Almighty God.
17:46.000 --> 17:54.000
My ship may have some holes in the sails, but it's never going to be lost at sea.
17:54.000 --> 17:59.000
My ship may have a tired sailor on board, and it does, but I will never be cast overboard.
17:59.000 --> 18:06.000
My ship may be assaulted by the enemy, and it is.
18:06.000 --> 18:11.000
But my ship's going to land on God's eternal shores, for he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.
18:11.000 --> 18:20.000
Here's another one, Psalm 94, verse 18. Psalm 94, verse 18. I'm having fun.
18:20.000 --> 18:28.000
"When I said, 'My foot slippeth, thy mercy, O Lord, help me up.'"
18:28.000 --> 18:36.000
Oh, man. Now, you're talking about a visual here.
18:36.000 --> 18:43.000
Here's someone. Anyone fallen down recently? You? You? You?
18:43.000 --> 18:51.000
Well, you're a boy. You all fall down all the time. All right.
18:51.000 --> 18:54.000
You all play hard. When you slip and you fall, the reason...
18:54.000 --> 19:02.000
I know this is oversimplified, but just think about it.
19:02.000 --> 19:06.000
The reason you fall is because your foot loses contact with the surface.
19:06.000 --> 19:11.000
That's why. It slips, and it loses contact with that surface that's holding you up, and so you fall.
19:11.000 --> 19:19.000
And the psalmist is saying, "When I said, 'My foot's slipping.'"
19:19.000 --> 19:24.000
He said, "You hold me up." You know what that idea is? Come up here, sugar. Come up here.
19:24.000 --> 19:34.000
Here's the Christian. This Christian's going through some hard times,
19:34.000 --> 19:40.000
and the hard times are illustrated by a slippery surface.
19:40.000 --> 19:46.000
You got water coming on. You got oil coming on. You got wind blowing her, whatever.
19:46.000 --> 19:51.000
She's walking, and there's a slippery surface. The enemy's putting all that down,
19:51.000 --> 19:56.000
and she feels her foot starting to slide. She feels herself starting to fall back and go over,
19:56.000 --> 20:03.000
and she's about to fall. Go ahead. You're about to fall.
20:03.000 --> 20:09.000
But then someone loving and strong holds them up so they don't fall.
20:09.000 --> 20:15.000
Now, thank you, sugar. Look back in this text again. "When I said, 'My foot's slippeth.'"
20:15.000 --> 20:21.000
"Thy mercy, O Lord, held me up."
20:21.000 --> 20:26.000
Our feet are going to slip, but they won't slip to our fail here. They can't. Why?
20:26.000 --> 20:36.000
"Because your mercy, God, held me up." Now, what do we learn about mercy?
20:36.000 --> 20:43.000
Well, the mercy seat teaches us about mercy.
20:43.000 --> 20:47.000
And who put the blood on the mercy seat to make it merciful? The high priest did.
20:47.000 --> 20:52.000
It's all his work. "When I said, 'My foot's slippeth.'"
20:52.000 --> 20:57.000
"Thy mercy, O Lord, held me up."
20:57.000 --> 21:01.000
"A person slips when their feet lose contact with what they're standing on."
21:01.000 --> 21:06.000
And Solomon says tonight that the righteous shall never slip. Why?
21:06.000 --> 21:14.000
Because our feet will never lose contact with what we're standing on.
21:14.000 --> 21:18.000
And it's the rock, Jesus Christ, never lose contact.
21:18.000 --> 21:23.000
The mercy of God keeps our feet standing on the rock,
21:23.000 --> 21:28.000
no matter what happens when we say, "I'm slipping."
21:28.000 --> 21:32.000
Man, I remember old Miss Leota.
21:32.000 --> 21:36.000
Miss Leota, to me, she was a giant of a Christian. I loved Leota magnets.
21:36.000 --> 21:43.000
And I went to go see her one time in the nursing home,
21:43.000 --> 21:47.000
and her brains messed up, and she couldn't...
21:47.000 --> 21:54.000
Her sense of balance was all messed up.
21:54.000 --> 21:58.000
And she's sitting in her comfortable recliner in the nursing home.
21:58.000 --> 22:05.000
And she grabs that recliner and she goes, "I'm falling!"
22:05.000 --> 22:10.000
It was sad. "I'm falling!"
22:10.000 --> 22:14.000
And her caretaker was there and she said, "You're in your chair. You're okay."
22:14.000 --> 22:20.000
And she looked at her and she said, "I'm in my chair. I'm okay."
22:20.000 --> 22:25.000
She repeated back what she was told.
22:25.000 --> 22:30.000
Christians are just like that in the spiritual sense.
22:30.000 --> 22:35.000
In our mind, we think sometimes, "I'm falling!"
22:35.000 --> 22:40.000
No, and then God, through His Word here, says, "No, you're in Christ. You're okay. You're okay."
22:40.000 --> 22:49.000
And then in faith, we respond to God, "I'm in Christ. I'm okay."
22:49.000 --> 22:54.000
"My foot slipped." "No, the mercy of God holds us up."
22:54.000 --> 23:00.000
The righteous have a sure footing because we're standing on the rock that will never let us go.
23:00.000 --> 23:06.000
We cannot slip and fall because we forever stand in Him.
23:06.000 --> 23:10.000
Next verse, Psalm chapter 60, verse 2.
23:10.000 --> 23:15.000
The Bible says, "Thou hast made the earth to tremble."
23:15.000 --> 23:18.000
Now, how many of y'all saw that in Akkadoches County, not too far from here,
23:18.000 --> 23:23.000
we had an earthquake this week? Anybody saw that? All right.
23:23.000 --> 23:28.000
Glad that I'm not the only one informed.
23:28.000 --> 23:30.000
We had an earthquake this week. How many saw that there was a big earthquake?
23:30.000 --> 23:34.000
Was it Taiwan? Where was it? Was it Taiwan today?
23:34.000 --> 23:37.000
Yeah, another earthquake in Taiwan.
23:37.000 --> 23:41.000
You know what that is? That's the earth trembling.
23:41.000 --> 23:45.000
The earth trembling. He says, "Thou hast made the earth to tremble."
23:45.000 --> 23:49.000
"Thou hast broken it." Then he says, "Heal the breaches thereof, for it shaketh."
23:49.000 --> 23:58.000
That's that same word removed. It's shaketh.
23:58.000 --> 24:01.000
You see what's happening here?
24:01.000 --> 24:03.000
The psalmist is saying, "Look, the earth trembles. You've made the earth tremble.
24:03.000 --> 24:09.000
You've broken it."
24:09.000 --> 24:12.000
Because of Adam's sin, God cursed the ground for Adam's sake.
24:12.000 --> 24:20.000
The ground has been cursed. It's been coughing up these weeds and thorns and thistles.
24:20.000 --> 24:29.000
It trembles. It shakes because the foundations thereof have been broken due to sin.
24:29.000 --> 24:37.000
Then the psalmist says to God in prayer, "Heal the breaches thereof, for it shakes."
24:37.000 --> 24:48.000
God's going to heal the breaches. He's going to take the broken places and heal this earth.
24:48.000 --> 24:55.000
He's going to make it new, just like He's made us new in Christ.
24:55.000 --> 24:58.000
He's going to make the earth new like He made us new.
24:58.000 --> 25:02.000
The curse where God cursed the ground for Adam's sake, He's going to bless the ground for Jesus' sake.
25:02.000 --> 25:09.000
It's all going to be made new.
25:09.000 --> 25:11.000
Jesus said, "Behold, I make all things new."
25:11.000 --> 25:14.000
So the earth shakes right now, many of us falling apart because of man's rejection of God.
25:14.000 --> 25:21.000
Listen to how the book of the Revelation describes this present world at the end of time.
25:21.000 --> 25:28.000
Shaken, moved out of its God-ordained place.
25:28.000 --> 25:32.000
Remember, that's what we're looking at here with this word.
25:32.000 --> 25:34.000
Revelation 6.13. Revelation 6.13.
25:34.000 --> 25:37.000
"And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig casteth her untimely figs,
25:37.000 --> 25:45.000
when she is shaken of a mighty wind."
25:45.000 --> 25:50.000
Here are these stars that God put in their place.
25:50.000 --> 25:53.000
But because of sin, they get cast out of their place. They get removed from their place.
25:53.000 --> 25:58.000
The earth is shaken. It's like a fig tree that gets shaken by a wind, and the figs fall, once again, out of their place.
25:58.000 --> 26:07.000
God put them in the branch, but because of sin, the figs fall.
26:07.000 --> 26:12.000
But when God puts you in Jesus, the wind can blow all it wants to.
26:12.000 --> 26:17.000
And you're not going to fall like a fig because you're in his body like a member.
26:17.000 --> 26:24.000
You're not going to fall like a star because you're seated together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus.
26:24.000 --> 26:30.000
This world is shaking right now, and listen, it's going to become even more shaky as we go.
26:30.000 --> 26:37.000
You get ready for it.
26:37.000 --> 26:39.000
"But the righteous shall never be shaken because we belong to a kingdom, a Savior,
26:39.000 --> 26:47.000
and a new heaven and a new earth that shall never fall apart."
26:47.000 --> 26:51.000
Here's the kingdom truth for you tonight.
26:51.000 --> 26:53.000
We are unshakable people living in a shaking world.
26:53.000 --> 26:58.000
We are unshakable people living in a shaking world.
26:58.000 --> 27:06.000
Just because the world's shaking, does that not mean you'll be shaken.
27:06.000 --> 27:11.000
You can't be shaken. You'll never suffer the righteous to be shaken.
27:11.000 --> 27:16.000
Now, notice that Solomon said, "We shall..."
27:16.000 --> 27:19.000
How often? "Be removed." What does it say?
27:19.000 --> 27:22.000
"Rise shall never be removed."
27:22.000 --> 27:25.000
See, the gospel, I've got this belt on, it's got a hundred-year warranty.
27:25.000 --> 27:32.000
It really does.
27:32.000 --> 27:34.000
But the people who gave the hundred-year warranty, they're not going to be here in a hundred years.
27:34.000 --> 27:40.000
I've got a car with a lifetime powertrain warranty.
27:40.000 --> 27:44.000
Some of you all have those.
27:44.000 --> 27:50.000
That insurance company that warranted that for a lifetime, they may go out of business next year.
27:50.000 --> 27:57.000
Listen, the gospel has a forever warranty.
27:57.000 --> 28:01.000
Forever. Never be shaken. Never be removed. Never slip.
28:01.000 --> 28:10.000
I have accepted Christ as my Savior, but what if this happens, Brother Richard?
28:10.000 --> 28:15.000
What if I do that or something else?
28:15.000 --> 28:17.000
God said you shall never be removed.
28:17.000 --> 28:22.000
There's nothing that can happen in the future that can remove you from your eternal position in Jesus Christ.
28:22.000 --> 28:30.000
The righteous shall never be removed from the gospel promises.
28:30.000 --> 28:34.000
Look back in your text now as we begin to close.
28:34.000 --> 28:37.000
But the wicked, that is those who have rejected the grace of God,
28:37.000 --> 28:42.000
therefore they are not eternally established in God's Son,
28:42.000 --> 28:47.000
it says the wicked shall not inhabit the earth.
28:47.000 --> 28:53.000
Now that's pretty deep when you think on it.
28:53.000 --> 28:57.000
You think of every person right now who's rejected Christ as their Savior.
28:57.000 --> 29:02.000
They may own a ranch.
29:02.000 --> 29:05.000
They may have their name on the gate that opens automatically when they drive up.
29:05.000 --> 29:11.000
That may have been their family for years.
29:11.000 --> 29:14.000
They may all own the mineral rights.
29:14.000 --> 29:18.000
Not long from now, when Jesus comes back, they won't be here.
29:18.000 --> 29:25.000
They're not going to live here.
29:25.000 --> 29:27.000
They may be in the White House.
29:27.000 --> 29:30.000
They may have a castle somewhere.
29:30.000 --> 29:33.000
They may have the secret service around them or bodyguards or whatever else.
29:33.000 --> 29:38.000
They're not going to be here.
29:38.000 --> 29:41.000
Not if they reject Jesus Christ.
29:41.000 --> 29:44.000
They will not inhabit the earth.
29:44.000 --> 29:49.000
The word "inhabit" here has the idea of being placed where you're supposed to be,
29:49.000 --> 29:56.000
just like the hinge.
29:56.000 --> 29:59.000
Now the word "removed" that we looked at has the idea of being taken out of that place
29:59.000 --> 30:04.000
where you're supposed to be.
30:04.000 --> 30:06.000
This word has the idea of being where you're supposed to be.
30:06.000 --> 30:09.000
So while we'll not be removed from our ordained place in the Lord Jesus Christ,
30:09.000 --> 30:14.000
they'll never inhabit the place that we have.
30:14.000 --> 30:19.000
They'll never see it.
30:19.000 --> 30:21.000
They'll never see the kingdom of God.
30:21.000 --> 30:24.000
Jesus talked about that to those Jewish leaders.
30:24.000 --> 30:27.000
He said, "How sad they were going to be when they saw all these people enter into God's kingdom,
30:27.000 --> 30:32.000
and they themselves cast out."
30:32.000 --> 30:34.000
Why? They're not going to inhabit it.
30:34.000 --> 30:37.000
Now this word here "inhabit" is the same word where God put the cherubims there
30:37.000 --> 30:43.000
to guard the way of the tree of life.
30:43.000 --> 30:45.000
At the entrance to the Garden of Eden, God put them there.
30:45.000 --> 30:49.000
He made them inhabit that place.
30:49.000 --> 30:51.000
It was God's ordained place for them, and for all eternity,
30:51.000 --> 30:56.000
the wicked will not be where God designed them to be.
30:56.000 --> 31:00.000
Why? Because the only way, when Adam sinned, we all got out of that place.
31:00.000 --> 31:07.000
When Jesus came back and did what Adam should have done,
31:07.000 --> 31:11.000
then through Jesus we get put back in.
31:11.000 --> 31:14.000
So in Christ we get put back into place.
31:14.000 --> 31:18.000
We are now in Jesus. We are now in the Father.
31:18.000 --> 31:22.000
It will never be removed from there.
31:22.000 --> 31:24.000
We're in the hand of the Son, in the hand of the Father, sealed by the Holy Spirit of God,
31:24.000 --> 31:28.000
but those who never accept Christ never get put back into place.
31:28.000 --> 31:32.000
They're people out of joint. People separated from their God.
31:32.000 --> 31:39.000
So for all eternity, they'll never be where God designed them to be.
31:39.000 --> 31:43.000
They'll always be out of place.
31:43.000 --> 31:45.000
The people were never created to be separated from God and hell. Never.
31:45.000 --> 31:50.000
That's not God's ordained place for them.
31:50.000 --> 31:53.000
Why won't the wicked inhabit the earth?
31:53.000 --> 31:55.000
Because the wicked are part of the shaking world, which is passing away.
31:55.000 --> 32:03.000
God is going to replace this sinful, shaking world with a sinless, unshakeable one.
32:03.000 --> 32:10.000
And only unshakeable people can inhabit an unshakeable world.
32:10.000 --> 32:18.000
Brother Richard, why are you unshakeable? Because Jesus is unshakeable, and I believe on Him.
32:18.000 --> 32:23.000
Then you have in a new earth that Jesus is going to make.
32:23.000 --> 32:26.000
It won't allow sin to enter into it.
32:26.000 --> 32:30.000
Because sin would destroy it, just like it did this one.
32:30.000 --> 32:35.000
So the righteous shall never be removed from God's promised land for them.
32:35.000 --> 32:42.000
But the wicked shall never inhabit it.
32:42.000 --> 32:45.000
What distinct endings of those two roads.
32:45.000 --> 32:50.000
Here's a kingdom truth for you tonight.
32:50.000 --> 32:54.000
The righteous can't slip out of God's kingdom.
32:54.000 --> 32:59.000
The wicked can't slip in.
32:59.000 --> 33:02.000
Repeat that again.
33:02.000 --> 33:04.000
The righteous, those who trust in Christ, the righteous can't slip out of God's kingdom.
33:04.000 --> 33:11.000
The wicked can't slip in.
33:11.000 --> 33:14.000
The righteous shall never be removed.
33:14.000 --> 33:17.000
The wicked shall never inhabit it.
33:17.000 --> 33:20.000
With that, we'll go ahead and close tonight.
33:20.000 --> 33:24.000
Father, we thank you so much for your precious word.
33:24.000 --> 33:27.000
We thank you once again for these prayer requests that were mentioned tonight.
33:27.000 --> 33:31.000
And once again, we just bring them up to your throne.
33:31.000 --> 33:34.000
We leave them there.
33:34.000 --> 33:37.000
Pray for your mercy for the broken hearts.
33:37.000 --> 33:42.000
We thank you, God, that one day, the death,
33:42.000 --> 33:49.000
the children, Lord, who lose their lives,
33:49.000 --> 33:54.000
who reminds us, Father, of what it must feel like to you, Father,
33:54.000 --> 33:58.000
to have watched Adam and Eve, to watch so many others lose their lives
33:58.000 --> 34:03.000
as a result of their own choice.
34:03.000 --> 34:07.000
But Lord, one day all that's going to be over,
34:07.000 --> 34:10.000
and you're going to heal the breaches.
34:10.000 --> 34:12.000
The world's trembling.
34:12.000 --> 34:14.000
It's shaking.
34:14.000 --> 34:16.000
But in Jesus, you'll heal the breaches
34:16.000 --> 34:20.000
of our hearts and of your creation.
34:20.000 --> 34:25.000
And I want to thank you tonight, God.
34:25.000 --> 34:28.000
I want to thank you for that little baby, Lord,
34:28.000 --> 34:33.000
whose body is in his or her mother's womb right now,
34:33.000 --> 34:39.000
that their spirit is with you.
34:39.000 --> 34:44.000
And how wonderful it would be, I just wonder,
34:44.000 --> 34:48.000
if that child could listen to our message tonight,
34:48.000 --> 34:52.000
look down on his grandmother,
34:52.000 --> 34:55.000
and know, Father, that although she's brokenhearted,
34:55.000 --> 35:03.000
she doesn't sorrow without hope.
35:03.000 --> 35:07.000
And, Father, I thank you for taking that child to heaven.
35:07.000 --> 35:10.000
I don't know how old the other child was who passed away,
35:10.000 --> 35:14.000
but I thank you, the God of all the earth will do right,
35:14.000 --> 35:18.000
and we commit them to your hands,
35:18.000 --> 35:20.000
our great judge and coming king. Amen.
35:20.000 --> 35:23.000
